The challenge involved in running a global supply chain is how companies meet their goals, how they manage their supply chains. Other than factors like greater complexity of products and services, higher energy prices, and increasing financial volatility, global supply chain strategic goals is being determined by factors like reducing costs, and getting products faster to market.

The question is how to develop a resilient supply chain model? The challenge remains how organizations build robust but flexible systems needed to manage these issues effectively? How the “silos” nature of supply chain functions can be integrated with the organization systems and processes seamlessly?
